Requirements

  • Medical Assistant Certification and Training
  • High School or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of experience
  • CPR/BLS Certification required (American Heart Association)

Responsibilities

  • Prepares and administers medications and injections per physician instructions, ensuring adherence to treatment protocols.
  • Assists physicians with procedures (injections, sutures, venipunctures, biopsies, EKGs, casts) and monitors vital signs, following Universal Precautions and sterilization protocols.
  • Manages patient schedules, greets and escorts patients, and coordinates movement to optimize clinic efficiency
  • Prepares exam rooms, maintains proper stock of supplies, and notifies supervisors for reorders to prevent shortages.
