Job Overview The Medical Affairs function at Genmab is a key strategic driver in how Genmab commercializes our medicines, continuously partnering with R&D, Commercial, and Access teams to translate scientific discovery into patient impact. The Strategy and Operations team is a key strategic thread leveraging data, insights, and strategy to drive innovation while ensuring activities are aligned to organizational priorities. Genmab Medical Affairs is recruiting for a Strategy and Operations Intern who will gain hands-on, real-world experience in the pharmaceutical industry. As an intern, you will work across multiple disease state indications and assist with projects that improve your leadership, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills while gaining cross-functional exposure to other areas of the Genmab organization. You will have a focus on projects that span multiple markets, and the potential to work with knowledgeable mentors to develop skills necessary to build a strong career foundation.

Requirements

  • The ideal candidate is inquisitive, ambitious, detail-oriented and has a strong interest in the pharmaceutical industry, including the following:
  • Pursuing an advanced degree in the life sciences field (e.g., PharmD, PhD, MS, MPH, MBA).
  • Has a desire to become proficient in effectively communicating complex, often scientific, information to various stakeholder groups.
  • Able to work independently, proactively, and part of a group, with curiosity and flexibility.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven track record of leadership, time-management, project management, and teamwork.
  • Possess a "can-do" approach and courage to speak your voice and suggest innovative ideas.
  • Proficient with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and CoPilot).

Nice To Haves

  • Technical competencies in SharePoint and other information technology systems such as ChatGPT.
  • Academic and/or industrial clinical trial experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership in campus/community activities.
  • You work hard and are not afraid to have a little fun while you do so

Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively under the direction of the Sr. Director of Medical Affairs Strategy and Operations to support ongoing projects and facilitate new projects based on identified business needs.
  • Gain exposure to Medical Affairs strategies and tactics that are intended to ensure the safe and effective use of our medicines as well as increasing the awareness of treatment options for healthcare professionals and patients.
  • Perform Portfolio Analytics to assist with Long Term Forecasting and Strategic Planning.
  • Assist with data analytic projects that will help demonstrate the impact of our medical affairs team.
  • Assist with developing and organizing insight documents and repositories to enhance the speed to impact of our valuable insight data.
  • Track insights from internal and external scientific conversations to help inform strategic planning.
  • Participate in team meetings and help with operational tasks that contribute to smooth project execution.
  • Partner to deliver innovative and efficient solutions to evolve our field business.
