Requirements

  • Excellent communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, organizational, time management, and project planning skills with a strong ability for self-direction.
  • Intermediate-to-advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, and Word) is necessary – experience or interest in the application of AI to locating and understanding scientific information would be valuable.
  • Interest in learning concepts, methods, findings, and theories of unfamiliar medical sciences.
  • Ability to work on 2-3 tasks at the same time, and to collaborate across teams.
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program, preferably majoring in biological sciences, medicine, or medical physics (minimum rising senior preferred)
  • Individuals enrolled in (or intending to enroll in) a graduate program or pre-residency training pathways in the sciences, health care, oncology, or clinical trials are encouraged to apply.
  • Effective literature search and analysis skills, proficiency with scientific search engines (PubMed, e.g.) and established skills or interest in medical writing.
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA (preferred)
  • Permanent work authorization in the U.S. is required

Responsibilities

  • Manage specific Strategic Publication Bibliographic projects in accordance with timelines and delivery expectations.
  • Conduct literature searches and critically review published literature.
  • Assist in ESTRO 2026 abstract review, collect Ethos, HyperSight, RapidArc Dynamic, and Identify abstracts for AAPM 2026.
  • Develop scientific summaries for comprehensive evaluation of clinical outcomes for Varian products, specifically Ethos, HyperSight, RapidArc Dynamic, and Identify.
  • Contribute to Medical Affairs newsletter and Clinical Notes for internal cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Support development of oral presentations and training tools for the group.
  • Participate in medical updates, scientific presentations, and project review meetings as requested.
