We are seeking a QA Engineer with strong Medicaid domain expertise to join our VIMO team. This role requires a deep understanding of Medicaid systems along with strong analytical and technical capabilities to ensure high-quality delivery in a regulated environment. This role may involve access to sensitive, confidential, or regulated information. As a part of your role, you would be expected to handle such information responsibly and in accordance with the organization’s privacy, security, and data protection policies and procedures. Training specific to this role and the handling of sensitive, confidential, or regulated information is required. Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in QA / Software Testing
  • In-depth knowledge of Medicaid
  • Solid understanding of software testing fundamentals and QA best practices
  • Experience writing complex SQL queries for data validation
  • Experience testing APIs or backend services
  • Familiarity with UNIX/Linux commands for basic troubleshooting
  • Ability to write clear test cases and defect reports
  • Experience working in Agile development environments

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in healthcare, Medicaid, or regulated domains
  • Exposure to test automation frameworks or scripting
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins)
  • Experience working with cross-functional engineering teams

Responsibilities

  • Execute manual and automated test cases for Medicaid system workflows
  • Validate backend data using SQL queries and ensure data integrity
  • Test APIs and backend services using tools such as Postman
  • Identify, document, and track defects using JIRA, and verify fixes
  • Perform end-to-end testing aligned with Medicaid business and regulatory requirements
  • Analyze systems deeply to identify gaps, risks, and compliance issues
  • Review business requirements and ensure coverage for Medicaid-specific scenarios
  • Perform testing in production-like environments to validate release readiness
  • Use UNIX/Linux commands to debug and analyze system logs
  • Contribute to automation and process improvements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, engineering, and business stakeholders
