The Media Services and AV Technician (MS/AV Tech) reports to the Director of Digital Program Management and Media Services and plays a critical role in the setup, operation, and troubleshooting of audiovisual (AV) equipment and systems for the Cleveland Museum of Art (CMA). The MS/AV Tech is primarily responsible for ensuring seamless execution of live, virtual, and hybrid events through hands-on equipment setup, active operation of AV systems, and post-event breakdown. In addition to event support, this role encompasses essential administrative tasks, including equipment scheduling, maintenance logs, system documentation, and inventory management, to ensure the optimal functionality and reliability of AV systems across the institution. The MS/AV Tech will also contribute to the creation of audiovisual content, including scriptwriting, filming, video editing, and sound design, to support the CMA’s media production needs. Creative project work will be assigned as scheduling permits, with a primary focus on AV operations and system support. The technician may also provide periodic support to the ARTLENS Gallery as a Gallery Technician.
