About The Position

Our client, a world leader in life sciences and biotech industry, is looking for a “Media Prep Lab Services Associate Technician" based out of South San Francisco, CA. Job Duration: Long Term Contract (Possibility of further extension) Pay Rate : $27/hr on W2 Schedule: Flexible shifts Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, up to 30 hours per week, with potential for additional hours based on business needs. Company Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Paid Sick leave, 401K We are seeking a detail -oriented Laboratory Technician to support research operations in a regulated environment. This role is responsible for ensuring laboratory readiness through labware processing, sterilization, media and reagent preparation, and efficient workflow support. The Technician will operate and maintain lab equipment, manage inventory, and ensure compliance with GMP/GLP standards and documentation practices (ALCOA). The ideal candidate will have hands -on experience with autoclaves, aseptic techniques, and media preparation, along with strong organizational skills to support multiple lab teams in a fast -paced setting. This role requires a proactive approach to maintaining lab efficiency, supporting audits, and collaborating with cross -functional teams to enable smooth research operations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • college -level coursework in biology, chemistry, or related field required (AA/AS preferred)
  • 1+ year of laboratory experience in academic, biotech, or regulated environment preferred
  • Knowledge of aseptic technique and contamination control
  • Familiarity with media preparation and buffer/reagent preparation
  • Basic computer skills (data entry, inventory systems, or lab tracking tools)
