About The Position

The Media and Content Coordinator supports the Marketing Department by producing high-quality multimedia content – including photography, videography, video editing, and podcast production – while also managing the Credit Union's social media platforms. This role plays a key part in capturing the SSSC story, highlighting our community impact, and developing engaging content that informs, inspires, and connects with members and prospective members.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Communications, Media Production, Marketing, Journalism, or related field and 3+ years related experience.
  • Experience with photography, videography, photo and video editing, and audio production required.
  • Understanding of social media platform management, key word research, and basic SEO concepts.

Responsibilities

  • Multimedia Production
  • Capture and edit professional photography for campaigns, events, member stories, and digital/social platforms.
  • Record, edit, and produce video content, including short-form, long-form, and event-driven footage.
  • Produce and edit podcast episodes, including audio recording, mixing, publishing, and asset creation.
  • Assist in coordinating on-site new hire shoots, executive media interviews, lighting, and production setup.
  • Ensure all multimedia content reflects SSSCU's brand, tone, and visual standards.
  • Content Creation & Digital Storytelling
  • Develop creative content that promotes Credit Union products, services, events, and community initiatives.
  • Write captions, scripts, storyboards, and supporting copy for multimedia projects.
  • Repurpose long-form content into short-form clips optimized for social media distribution.
  • Ensure all content aligns with SSSCU's content strategy, brand guidelines, and compliance requirements.
  • Social Media Management
  • Manage day-to-day activity across all social media platforms, including posting, monitoring, engagement, and responding to comments/messages.
  • Capture and produce real-time social content during events, including live video and photography.
  • Stay current on social media trends, tools, formats, and best practices to keep SSSCU content modern and competitive.
  • Use SEO-informed keywords, analytics, and platform insights to improve reach and engagement.
  • Measure and report on social media performance.
  • Collaboration & Compliance
  • Work closely with the Marketing team, internal departments, and Compliance to ensure accurate and compliant messaging.
  • Stay current on financial industry trends and competitor activity to support content strategy.
  • Maintain knowledge of compliance regulations related to social media, publications, and marketing collateral (FCRA, Reg DD, Reg C, Reg B, Reg Z, etc.).
  • Support Marketing with events, campaigns, and special projects as assigned.
  • Perform other functions as assigned.
