About The Position

The Analyst is part of a multi-disciplinary team which publishes, archives and retrieves information for Mayo Clinic in multi-media formats. The Analyst works with section and division colleagues, external vendors/suppliers and staff throughout Mayo Clinic to establish media specifications, performance requirements and business needs. Additionally, the Analyst participates in consultations related to best practices as well as policy and procedural guidelines. In collaboration with customers and section/division staff, utilizes analytical skills to create needs/requirements documents promoting existing services, products, resources and technology where applicable. Prioritizes work and schedule in order to meet deadlines and accommodate new projects. Coordinates the management of content in accordance with institution and accreditation standards. Guides customers through established processes for new/major redesign or content conversion. Reviews existing processes for continuous improvement opportunities and develops appropriate work groups. Maintains working knowledge of media technologies, file formats, electronic alternatives, policies and procedures regarding distribution of Mayo materials and copyright laws. Stays abreast of institutional standards and external regulations impacting media within the organization. The Media Analyst provides customer support, manages support tickets, and processes user requests for medical videos stored in digital asset management platforms. The Media Analyst also resolves metadata errors on incoming medical videos using a variety of clinical systems and data sources; manages complex taxonomies, metadata standards, and user-generated metadata; tracks and analyzes customer service and user engagement metrics to enhance service quality and user satisfaction; applies policies and procedures related to the use and management of medical videos; and creates and maintains training and help materials—such as video and slideshow tutorials, frequently asked questions (FAQs), quick reference guides (QRGs), and knowledgebase entries—for medical video platforms. This position is 100% remote work; can work from anywhere in the U.S. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. Also, Mayo Clinic DOES NOT participate in the F-1 STEM OPT extension program.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in management, business administration, information technology/science or industrial engineering from an accredited college or university AND a minimum of one year work experience in consulting, operations analysis, systems implementation, media publishing (print, electronic, Web), or relevant intern/co-op experience required; OR, an Associate's degree in business or information science and three years’ work experience in consulting, operations analysis, systems implementation, media publishing (print, electronic, Web), or relevant inter/co-op experience required; OR High School diploma and seven years of work experience in consulting, operations analysis, systems implementation, media publishing, or relevant inter/co-op experience required.
  • Proficiency with various publishing tools and systems as required by the specific assignment.
  • Candidate must possess demonstrated customer service skills, problem-solving abilities, organizational skills, and the ability to maintain a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a changing work environment and the willingness to upgrade skills over time is essential.
  • Candidates must be able to work effectively in a consensus-style organization that expects and promotes teamwork.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in library science, information science, or related field, or certification in digital asset management is preferred.
  • Relevant certifications including Certified Forms Systems Professional (CFSP) or Project Management Institute (PMI) are also preferred.
  • Experience using ServiceNow or other enterprise service management applications.
  • Experience using Adobe Workfront or other enterprise work management applications.
  • Experience creating training or educational materials for applications.
  • Experience working in a healthcare, research, or academic setting.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology, diagnostic codes (ICD-10), and procedure codes (CPT).
  • Familiarity with Epic Hyperspace or other electronic health record user interfaces.
  • Familiarity with SQL or comparable database query languages.
  • Familiarity with Tableau or other data visualization/business intelligence software.
