The MEDCOM Specialist 1 is a vital member of UVA Health and serves as the central command—coordinating the flow of patients across our system and beyond. This role is all about real-time communication, precision decision-making, and orchestrating the deployment of ground and air medical teams during internal/external emergencies and facilitating patient transfers across health systems. Collaboration with clinical teams, EMS partners, and operational leaders to ensure patients are moved safely, efficiently, and with urgency is the foundation of this role. This position is being filled for the Night Shift. Final schedule is subject to change and is contingent on approval from the hiring manager.
