About The Position

Are you an adaptable and compassionate Registered Nurse looking for a community-focused hospital? Yoakum Community Hospital is seeking Med-Surg RNs to join our clinical team. We offer Full-Time, Regular Part-Time, and PRN positions based on current availability. Key Responsibilities Clinical Excellence: Conduct comprehensive assessments, complete admission databases within 24 hours, and perform regular rounds to adjust care plans as patient conditions change. Intervention & Medication: Administer medications and perform clinical procedures with competency across all patient age groups within your scope of practice. Patient Advocacy: Function as a dedicated advocate, involving patients and families in care planning while maintaining strict HIPAA-compliant confidentiality. Effective Communication: Act as a central clinical link, documenting all interventions and reporting vital findings to the healthcare team and families. Team Leadership: Serve as a role model and resource for peers. Maintain a "team-first" mentality, upholding our R.I.S.E. core values, and assisting with staffing needs. Professional Flexibility: Transition smoothly between roles (such as Charge Nurse and Patient Care Nurse) and accept temporary reassignments based on your training and skills. Quality & Compliance: Ensure all nursing processes meet state and federal regulations while adhering to hospital policies and continuous quality improvement activities. Patient Experience: Respond promptly to call bells with a calm, courteous demeanor and maintain professional composure in high-stress situations. Graduate of an approved school of professional nursing. Currently licensed by the Texas Board of Nursing as a registered nurse. Minimum one year of experience preferred. Current CPR certification. Requirements

  • Graduate of an approved school of professional nursing.
  • Currently licensed by the Texas Board of Nursing as a registered nurse.
  • Current CPR certification.
