Position Title: Med/Surg Nursing Assistant - Evening Shift - Regular Part Time (RPT) Department: Med/Surg Reports to: Director, Med/Surg Why York General? Requirements

A kind, caring, patient-focused attitude
Strong communication and multitasking skills
A desire to be part of a collaborative, caring team
BLS certification (or willingness to obtain)

Responsibilities

Measuring and recording weights, vital signs, intake/output, and other key data
Assisting patients with personal hygiene: bathing, grooming, oral care, and toileting
Supporting mealtime needs: preparing patients, serving trays, and assisting with feeding
Repositioning, ambulating, and escorting patients as needed
Keeping patient rooms tidy and assisting with cleanliness in storage and utility areas
Answering call lights and phones, and helping with general communication on the unit
