This position in based at TTC’s headquarters in Bloomington, MN and supports all TTC brands. This engineering team provides test support for electronic/mechatronics components test, battery test, and hardware-in-loop software test. For hardware-in-loop test, machine controllers have simulated stimulus applied (inputs, outputs, CAN, etc) using automated sequences to rapidly test requirements and corner cases. Electronics and mechatronics (motors, linear actuators, etc) have been used on Toro products for many years, with increasing usage due to the growth of electrification, smart connected products, and robotics. In order to grow and build a successful career with The Toro Company, you will be responsible for: Test System Design Project – This will be the primary project for the internship. Develop test system features for automated Hardware-in-the-loop test equipment. In addition to the test system design project: Component Testing Project(s) Creating test plans for electronic and mechatronic components Analyze test results to identify trends and failure modes Report test results and design recommendations Hardware-in-Loop Project(s) Gain understanding of Hardware-in-Loop system architecture. Review and execute regression test sequences. Assist with other mechatronics projects as needed.

Requirements

  • 2+ Years Completed of an ABET-accredited Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering Degree.
