The 2026 Summer Internship Program will run from May 18, 2026, through August 7, 2026. Candidates must be available to start on May 18 and participate through the duration of the program. Who Are We? The Manufacturing Engineer Intern will provide technical support to the engineering team supporting manufacturing processes in the steel components plant. Processes supported may include machining, welding, grinding, stamping, sheet & tube laser cutting and forming. Technical support may also include tooling and fixture design for process quality improvements and new part support. In order to grow and build a successful career with The Toro Company, you will be responsible for: Support safety projects and manufacturing processes as directed Maintain plant layout for machine moves and cost reduction efforts Evaluate manufacturing and material handling processes for new parts Support new part quoting activities & SAP routings Conduct time studies of part’s processes Assist quality engineering with print tolerances & process capability studies Assist in the research & development of capital projects & equipment Support Quality, Maintenance and Lean operations problem solving activities Frequently report verbally and in writing on project status Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or similar engineering discipline preferred
  • Software: AutoCAD, Solidworks, Creo Parametric, Microsoft suite
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Desire to learn new skills and maintain knowledge of new technologies
  • Must be independent, and self-motivated.
  • Must have interpersonal skills in working with a variety of cross-functional teams
