About The Position

The Mechatronics Engineer supports plant operations by identifying and solving operational problems. This person will work in a friendly, collaborative, and self-driven professional team, which is to focus on monitoring and managing the highly available and secured network and infrastructure environment. You will be a team player, fast learner, and a responsible individual available to lead/supervise the team when called upon. The Mechatronics Engineer will be responsible for overall uptime of existing systems, design, and implementation of modifications to existing robotic automation for uLab Systems Clear Aligner Manufacturing with direct improvement of system capability, quality and uptime. This position is responsible for supporting production at uLab Systems by supporting, improving, modifying, and implementing automation systems to produce clear aligners from concept, design, testing, and production improvement. Plan, source and employ robotic systems, scanners, vision systems, and PLC’s for small, light, transparent components with laser engraved serial numbers. Highly hands on with servo controlled XYZ robotics, 6DOF robotics, PC and PLC controlled machinery. Works to deploy and connect automation cells for industrial thermoforming, high precision end-mill, laser driven processes, polishing, cleaning, bagging, and packaging. Manages the deployment of new robotic systems, validation and testing, maintenance schedules, troubleshooting and continuous improvement of automation lines.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related field required
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in manufacturing control planning, supply management, reporting and/or analyzing information required OR 6 years’ experience in manufacturing control planning, supply management, reporting and/or analyzing information required in lieu of Bachelor’s degree

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with medical device small device assembly preferred
  • Experience with 3D printers a plus
  • Experience with Fanuc and Kuka robots a plus

Responsibilities
