  • Strong mechanical aptitude with experience using standard hand and power tools
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics and bills of materials
  • Experience with mechanical assembly, fabrication, or equipment build
  • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical systems and understand mechanical components and mechanisms
  • Familiarity with measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and torque tools
  • Ability to lift 30-40 lbs regularly
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen

  • Experience in aerospace manufacturing, automation, robotics, or similar high-precision industries
  • Familiarity with pneumatics, hydraulics, motion systems, or electromechanical assemblies
  • Experience with wire harnessing, soldering, or basic electrical tasks
  • Ability to provide technical feedback to engineering for continuous improvement

Responsibilities

  • Build and assemble complex mechanical systems and automation equipment using hand tools, power tools, precision instruments, and shop machinery
  • Interpret and work from CAD models, engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documentation
  • Perform mechanical fitting, alignment, fastening, drilling, tapping, and installation of mechanical components and subsystems
  • Troubleshoot mechanical assemblies, identify faults, and perform repairs with minimal supervision
  • Support testing operations, including setting up mechanical test fixtures, operating equipment during test runs, and documenting results
  • Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance on assembly tools, machine components, and shop equipment
  • Participate in full machine lifecycle: in-house build, testing, run-off, teardown, and shipment to customer sites
  • Collaborate closely with engineers and provide feedback to improve design, serviceability and manufacturability
  • Follow all safety protocols, quality procedures, and documentation standards
