About The Position

Premium Oilfield Technologies is looking for skilled technicians who take pride in precision, safety, and getting equipment back to work—right here at home. This position reports to the Shop Supervisor and supports critical oilfield operations through expert maintenance and repair.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (certifications or trade training a plus)
• 2+ years of experience as a Top Drive Technician
• Experience with Varco, Tesco, and Canrig Top Drives
• Strong understanding of top drive mechanical and hydraulic systems
• Familiarity with PLC software and PanelView HMI systems
• Basic knowledge of AC/DC drives
• Understanding of generators and control systems
• Ability to provide and maintain personal hand tools
• Proficiency with hand tools, measuring, and monitoring equipment
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail
• Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Long hours standing and working with tools
• Frequent use of hands and arms
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Exposure to shop and outdoor conditions, including heat and cold (Reasonable accommodations available.)

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, repair, and service work in Premium Oilfield Technologies shop facilities
• Read and interpret hydraulic and electrical schematics to diagnose top drive issues
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and hydraulic failures
• Maintain accurate service, inspection, and repair records
• Work on drilling and traveling equipment (experience preferred)
• Collaborate with a skilled team to meet production and quality goals
• Follow and actively support Premium Oilfield Technologies Safety & Quality programs
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management
