Based in our Sidney, OH location, you will work in conjunction with product engineers to design, develop, and qualify compressors for HVACR systems. To maintain our role as a global leader of compression solutions we continually seek talented and ambitious technicians to work in our engineering laboratories. We are seeking a 1st shift C02 laboratory technician to contribute to our growth and continued innovation. AS A MECHANICAL TECHNICIAN, YOU WILL: Follow engineering laboratory instructions to assemble CO2 compressors for developmental testing. Use of hand tools, power tools, cutting, welding, and brazing equipment. Utilize hydraulic/electrical/mechanical schematics and exploded view blueprints. Fabricate supporting test fixtures and controls required for non-standard tests or builds. Review data for compliance with applicable build standards. Perform various tasks related to the upkeep of the lab. You will be responsible for completing required tests or builds and communicating results with engineers. You will provide input on optimizing work processes to improve the overall efficiency of the lab.

Requirements

• High school diploma plus two to three (2-3) years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Must have basic mechanical, electrical skills, and/or HVAC/R
• Must have troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Must have personal computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office programs
• Legal Authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this role.
