About The Position
Provide engineering support to the design, development and selection of basic hardware components utilizing fundamental mechanical engineering principles, theories and techniques . Obtain working knowledge of company tools.
Requirements
- Candidate will have completed at least one year of Engineering or Engineering Technolog y
Responsibilities
- Assist Engineering with both capital and maintenance projects as needed
- Create drawings as needed using CAD systems
- Update Process and Instrumentation drawings as needed
- Obtain quotes on parts from machine shops and oversee installation in the plant
- Design parts to be used in the plant for reasons of increased safety, productivity , and cost reduction
- Assist in reverse-engineering of parts to support cost-reduction projects
- Provide shut-down assistance to the Maintenance department
- Provide support to R&D projects and the Chemical Engineering Co-ops as needed
- Assist Engineering with problem solving on plant equipment
- Assist engineering in reliability projects ranging from improvements to tank inspections
- Perform other duties as assigned
