Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Missiles & Weapons Systems (MWS) is seeking a Mechanical & Structural Engineering Manager (Level K) in Saint Charles, MO. Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
  • 5+ years of experience in one or more areas of aircraft structures such as design, strength, fatigue, loads or dynamics

Responsibilities

  • Leads a team of engineers in the design, development, analysis and implementation of mechanical and structural systems
  • Provides project management, technical oversight, and collaboration with other departments to ensure that engineering projects meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards
  • Develops and executes integrated departmental plans, policies and procedures, and provides input on departmental business and technical strategies, goals, objectives
  • Acquires resources for department activities, provides technical management of suppliers, and leads process improvements
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
  • Manages, develops, and motivates employees
