Mechanical Repair Technician

About The Position

Repair Technicians are responsible for the disassembly, diagnosis, reassembly, and post repair testing of Reverse Vending Machine mechanical components. Responsible to adhere to procedures, quality standards, and productivity goals as directed by supervision and in accordance with company policies.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to read, speak, and understand English
  • Knowledge of basic mechanical and electrical principles
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work documents
  • Willing to act on supervisor direction
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Familiar with basic hand tools

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in LEAN principles is desired

Responsibilities

  • Lift assemblies of up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to adapt to changing delivery schedules, and demands for emergent repairs
  • Integrate with a team of technicians, inspectors, and leadership with effective communication and teamwork.
  • Perform non-technical functions as directed by supervision (housekeeping, counting inventory, audit support).
  • Support implementation of LEAN, 5S, Six Sigma, Quality Assurance, and ISO initiatives.
  • Wear properly assigned Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
