As a Mechanical Repair Technician I, you will be responsible for the teardown, inspection, test and rebuild of regulators and aspirators, as well as hydrostatic testing of cylinders and charging reservoir assemblies with proper gasses. Requirements

  • Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline
  • U.S. Citizen, U.S. Person, or Immigration Status Requirements:

  • Ability to read and understand manuals, procedures, diagrams and blueprints
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to complete all training to obtain Valve Shop Certifications
  • Strong attention to detail and organized
  • Experience in working with a wide variety of cylinders.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the overhaul/repair of regulators used on evacuation slides.
  • Responsible for overhaul/repair of aspirators used on evacuation slides.
  • Responsible for the hydrostatic testing of cylinders (re-qualification).
  • Responsible for the charging of reservoir assemblies.
  • Knowledge of cylinder types and specifications.
  • Completes required fits and clearances and documentation.
