The Mechanical Repair Technician II performs increasingly complex repair, test, and overhaul work on aircraft components and accessories. Working under moderate supervision, this role supports assembly, disassembly, inspection, troubleshooting, and testing activities in accordance with FAA regulations and approved technical data. The ideal candidate is quality-focused, safety-driven, and eager to continue developing technical expertise. This position will be working onsite in Monroe, NC.

Requirements

  • Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience
  • Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and technical documentation.
  • Experience using measuring gauges, test equipment, and hand tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Working knowledge of SAP or other ERP systems
  • Microsoft office suites experience
  • Experience working in aerospace, MRO, or similar environment
  • Customer-focused mindset with attention to results.

Responsibilities

  • Perform assembly, disassembly, cleaning, inspection, repair, overhaul, and modification of components and accessories.
  • Test and troubleshoot LRUs to verify performance, fit, form, and function using approved technical data.
  • Use precision measuring instruments, special tools, fixtures, and test equipment to meet manufacturer and regulatory requirements.
  • Read and Interpret OEM blueprints, drawings, and technical documentation for MRO activities.
  • Verify fits, clearances, tolerances, and alignment; make necessary adjustments to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Inspect and disposition parts, including rework, repair, scrap, or replacement ordering as required.
  • Accurately record inspection, test results, part numbers, and serialization in company systems.
  • Complete assigned work safely, efficiently, and with minimal supervision.
  • Actively support continuous improvement, quality, and Environmental Health & Safety initiatives (CORE).
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve production, quality, and customer satisfaction goals.
