Collins Aerospace is looking for a Mechanical Repair Technician II for our Miami, Opa-Locka - FL Landing gear Facility, one of the most rapidly growing facilities across the company. This position performs various overhaul, rework, repair, and associated operations on aircraft equipment and components in both standard and non-standard environments to maintain flow of work. This position will be working in an Onsite capacity. Work Shift: Second shift (Monday - Friday - 2:45 - 11:15 pm)

Requirements

  • Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints.
  • Experience to use all necessary close tolerance measurement instruments with proficiency

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years in Landing Gear or general aviation experience
  • Experience using hand tools, electrical pneumatic, hydraulic and test equipment.
  • Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, test basic and major Landing Gear components for various types of narrow and wide body aircraft, prior to being delivered to the Customer.
  • Assemble and adjust test side and drag strut assemblies.
  • Assemble and test shock strut assemblies
  • Assemble, fit , dimension and inspect axle beam assemblies and components.
  • Document the testing and assembly processes in order to comply with applicable regulations.
