About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Engineer to join our team in downtown Roanoke, Virginia. This role focuses on the design and delivery of HVAC systems for diverse building types including educational, civic, arts, and commercial facilities. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with clear communication skills and a collaborative mindset. This position also offers the opportunity to mentor junior engineers and contribute to high-quality, community-impacting projects.

Requirements

Licensed Mechanical Engineer in the Commonwealth of Virginia (required).
7–10 years of professional experience preferred.
Strong experience in HVAC system design.
Proficiency in load calculation and energy modeling software (Trace, ComCheck).
Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.

Nice To Haves

Proficiency in Revit preferred.

Responsibilities

Design HVAC systems for educational, civic, arts, and commercial projects.
Perform load calculations and energy modeling to ensure system efficiency and compliance.
Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated project solutions.
Communicate effectively with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
