This candidate is a highly motivated individual who works well in a team environment and has a passion for learning and experiencing a variety of challenging assignments. The position is remote. Requirements

  • Associate degree in drafting or design
  • 2-7 years of drafting and design experience
  • Revit and AutoCAD experience needed.
  • Familiarity with pipe fittings, piping systems, ductwork fittings, ductwork systems, and associated mechanical equipment.
  • Familiarity with Navisworks 3D models to interpret design basis and produce 2D drawings

Nice To Haves

  • Plant 3D and Inventor are a plus

Responsibilities

  • Draft mechanical drawings in AutoCAD and Revit
  • Draft detailed construction drawings, develop plans and sections
  • Review and understand client and in-house drafting standards before the start of a project
  • Assemble and check drawing submission packages for internal and client reviews
  • Coordinate with other discipline engineers and designers on locations and routing
  • Establishes and maintains standards for projects, clients, and vendor activities
  • Maintain a strong understanding of current BIM, VDC standards, and industry solutions
  • Read and interpret senior engineer markups and design directives.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, isometrics, process & instrumentation diagrams, and specifications
  • Develop bidding, construction, and record documents
  • Confer with the lead engineer and project manager to incorporate design information and client standards into the construction documents
  • Create and maintain 3-dimensional models and integrate models from a variety of design platforms
  • Work with the lead engineer and/or architect to perform various design aspects and specifications
  • Customize CAD software to generate innovative solutions and meet client requirements
  • Occasional travel to project sites throughout North America
