What You Will Do The Mechanical Maintenance Technician is responsible for repairing and maintaining plant equipment and tools, ensuring continuous operation through timely preventative and predictive maintenance. This role involves troubleshooting equipment issues, executing preventative maintenance plans using SAP information, and completing corrective maintenance tasks during shifts. The role maintains accurate maintenance records, complies with health, environmental, and safety (HES) policies, and conducts patrols to identify any abnormal findings. Additionally, prepares detailed reports on maintenance activities and ensures all tools are properly maintained and used.

Requirements

  • HS Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant mechanical maintenance work and/or transferable military experience.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of computers including Windows and Microsoft office.
  • Ability to work as individual contributor on a diverse team.
  • Ability to work 4/10 schedule and possibly 12 hour rotating shifts.
  • Ability to work extended hours including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Capability to routinely lift and transports loads up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical Associates Degree
  • Advanced mechanical maintenance training
  • Basic knowledge of NFPA 70 and NFPA 70E

Responsibilities

  • Equipment troubleshooting and repairing.
  • Perform preventative and predictive maintenance plans to complete tasks according to schedule.
  • Execute PM plan according to the SAP information.
  • Rotating “on call” availability in the off hours.
  • Complete related corrective maintenance jobs during shift time.
  • Work out maintenance records and report related issues.
  • Comply with HES policy and ensure that maintenance jobs are finished under safe conditions.
  • Carry out rounds and report any abnormal findings.
  • Prepare maintenance activity reports and submit them to a supervisor after finishing each activity.
  • Use and maintain all tools in a proper condition.
  • Enter time daily and correctly.
  • Participate in safety programs.
