About The Position

Key Responsibilities: 1. Work from blueprints, diagrams, job request forms, written and/or verbal instructions. 2. Perform mechanical maintenance and repairs to all production and related equipment. 3. Troubleshoot and diagnose machine problems. 4. Install replacement parts fabricate and install new parts. 5. Make additions and modifications to machinery. 6. Set-up and operate typical machine shop tools, producing parts to tolerances and Company specifications. 7. Perform hand and bench operations using various small and hand tools and precision measuring instruments. 8. Responsible for daily maintenance of manufacturing equipment. 9. Maintain necessary records. 10. Move materials as necessary. 11. Assistant other maintenance and production department employees with major projects. 12. Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition. 13. Follow all GMP, safety and company rules and regulations. Other Responsibilities: 1. Perform additional responsibilities as needed.

Requirements

  • Associated degree in Applies Science or other technical degree preferred, or 3 + years’ experience in industrial maintenance.
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Must possess excellent communication skills
  • Must have excellent attendance
  • Maintain a safe work environment
  • Must be able to work overtime as required
  • Must be able to perform all duties in a safe and effective manner
  • Ability to read and write.
  • Maintenance technician must perform weekly and monthly scheduled maintenance of light and heavy equipment throughout the plant to include conveyors, pumps, fork truck, fire system, etc.
  • Maintenance technician must conduct diagnostic checks and repairs of equipment during scheduled and non-scheduled periods.
  • Maintenance technician must perform welding, electrical and plumbing repair and rebuilding of light and heavy equipment.
  • Maintenance technician must keep a clean and sanitary work area.
  • Maintenance technician must be able to stand to complete various duties associated with essential job functions such as scheduled equipment maintenance, equipment repairs and cleaning duties.
  • Maintenance technician must be able to walk to complete various duties associated with essential job functions such as scheduled equipment maintenance, equipment repairs and cleaning duties
  • Maintenance technician must be able to sit to complete various duties associated with essential job functions such as operating fork truck.
  • Maintenance technician must be able to lift materials weighing up to 50 pounds from floor to waist height and materials weight up to 25 overhead to complete various duties associated with essential job functions such as lifting valves, gears, sprockets, conduit and steel.
  • Maintenance technician must be able to complete front carries of components and propane tanks weighing up to 50 pounds for distances of up to 10 feet to complete various duties associated with essential job functions such as carrying parts and tools to job sight.
  • Maintenance technician must be able to generate push and pull forces of less than 50 pounds to complete various duties associated with essential job functions such as utilizing/operating wrenches, come-alongs /hoists and pushing carts.
  • Maintenance technician must be able to attain/maintain a forward flexed position of up to 60 degrees to complete various duties associated with essential job functions such as scheduled equipment maintenance, equipment repairs and cleaning duties.
  • Maintenance technician must be able to rotate their trunk/torso left-right to complete various duties associated with essential job functions such as scheduled equipment maintenance, equipment repairs and cleaning duties.
  • Maintenance technician must be able to forward and overhead reach to complete various duties associated with essential job functions such as scheduled equipment maintenance, equipment repairs and cleaning duties
  • Maintenance technician must be able to complete gripping, pinching and manipulation of various parts and pieces of equipment utilized for the performance of essential job functions to such as scheduled equipment maintenance, equipment repairs and cleaning duties. A grip force of up to 50 pounds is necessary for the completion of tasks.
  • Maintenance technician must be able to ascend/descend steps, ladders and /or equipment varying from 7–22 inches in step heights to complete various duties associated with essential job functions such as scheduled equipment maintenance, equipment repairs and cleaning duties
  • Maintenance technician must be able to kneel to complete various duties associated with essential job functions such as scheduled equipment maintenance, equipment repairs and cleaning duties.
  • Maintenance technician must be able to crouch to complete various duties associated with essential job functions such as scheduled equipment maintenance, equipment repairs and cleaning duties.
  • Maintenance technician must be able to crawl to complete various duties associated with essential job functions such as accessing different work areas.
  • Maintenance technician must be able to squat to complete various duties associated with essential job functions such as scheduled equipment maintenance, equipment repairs and cleaning duties.
  • Maintenance technician must be able to maintain both static and dynamic standing balance while ascending/descending equipment, stairs and/or ladders to complete various duties associated with essential job functions such as scheduled equipment maintenance, equipment repairs and cleaning duties
