Mechanical Maintenance Technician IV – 2nd Shift
About The Position
Amentum is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician IV to join our team in East Peoria, IL! Typical work schedule is Monday - Friday, 2:30pm – 11:00 pm; hours may vary based on business demand. Rotating weekends on call hours will be scheduled to support our client. The Mechanical Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the company’s buildings, facilities, and equipment in an operating and functional condition. Duties may include any of the following: mechanical repairs or installations, plumbing, welding, carpentry, and general mechanical maintenance (e.g. Heating, Ventilating, Air Conditioning or HVAC and sheet metal). Responsibilities: Under general supervision, reveals mastery of advanced duties of a specialized/technical nature. Encounters diverse problems that require thorough analysis. Perform all other position-related duties as assigned or requested.
Requirements
- High School graduate or demonstrated equivalent.
- 5 years of experience in area of specialization
- Ability to work on an aerial lift or scissors lift 30ft or higher
Responsibilities
- Perform all other position-related duties as assigned or requested.
- Able to diagnose and troubleshoot pumps, compressors, valves, fans, bearings, etc.
- Ability to weld and fabricate.
- Understanding of alignment tools for proper installation of pumps and motors.
