About The Position

Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, the Mechanic 3 is responsible for equipment maintenance activities within the facility. In addition to maintenance projects, the Maintenance Mechanic may be asked to assist with other repairs to the production equipment and facility.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 7 years of experience mechanical and hydraulic troubleshooting and repairs.
• Minimum electrical knowledge.
• Must work without supervision.
• Must be self-motivated.
• Must have knowledge of safety and environmental issues.

Nice To Haves

• Welding experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair equipment in facility including production equipment, die heaters, CNC machines, production saws, polishing/grinding machines, forklifts, air compressors, and/or forging presses.
• Provide recommendations to Maintenance Manager for proper repair and increased uptime and reliability of equipment.
• Complete PM Records and Work Orders through computerized maintenance management system.
• Fabrication and modification for existing equipment as assigned.
• Hydraulic troubleshooting and repair.
• Document and communicate equipment malfunctions to supervisor.
• New projects as assigned.
• Demonstrate a positive attitude and positive action through a display of courtesy, cooperation, and professionalism.
• Act as a mentor to younger, less experienced mechanics to teach them how to perform repairs to correct standards.
