The Mechanical Machine Assembler’s primary function is to precisely assemble mechanical components and systems.

Requirements

  • Must be able to read/write.
  • Must be able to read/write drawings and wiring diagrams in English.
  • Must be able to use wire cutters, crimpers, screw drivers, & electric drills.
  • Must be able to operate an electrical wire soldering tool.
  • Must be able to work 10 hours days 4 days a week.
  • Must be able to work OT.
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • A minimum of 1-2 years manufacturing or mechanical assembly experience.
  • Must be in good physical condition.
  • Must have good eye/hand coordination.
  • Must be able to lift up 20 lbs. routinely.
  • Must be able to sit stand and/or bend for long periods of time (Varied based on daily tasks)
  • Use of one or both feet or legs to move controls on machinery or equipment. Controls include, but are not limited to, pedals, buttons, levers, and cranks.
  • Holding, grasping, turning, or otherwise working with the hand(s). Note: Fingers are involved only to the extent that they are an extension of the hand to hold or operate a tool such as pliers.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble parts, pieces and/or products using a variety of tools and/or equipment according to required specifications, processes, and procedures in an area of production in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ensure that all parts fit correctly and are suitable for the final product.
  • Use various equipment to join, fasten, and connect parts.
  • Handle electrical wiring tasks, including connecting motors, control panels, sensors, and switches.
  • Reporting incidents, faulty operations, or product imperfections.
  • Record daily production and maintain production quotas on Duro Dyne forms.
  • Maintain records of assembly activities, including documenting any modifications, defects, or adjustments made during the assembly process.
  • Load all raw materials as needed.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues that arise during the assembly process.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
