About The Position

We are seeking a highly motivated entry-level mechanical engineer to join our simulation industry team. In this role, you will assist in the design, development, and testing of simulation software and hardware solutions for various industries. You will work under the guidance of experienced engineers to build and improve simulation systems that replicate real-world environments, processes, and products. Your primary focus will be on mechanical components, metal structures, materials, and moving parts. You will develop, read, and understand technical drawings and documents and be able to translate them into operational mechanisms. This is an onsite position located in Orlando, FL. US Government security clearance may be required and candidate must be eligible. Candidate has capacity to comply with the federally mandated requirements of U.S. export control laws

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and components.
  • Proficiency in CAD software, such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Inventor.
  • Familiarity with simulation and analysis software, such as ANSYS or MATLAB.
  • Must be able to travel to installation sites and support installation, troubleshooting, and training of customers, and other personnel.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills for documentation, intra-team, and interdisciplinary communication.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Capability to interpret data.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the design, development, and testing of simulation software and hardware solutions such as engines, machines, instruments, controls, or robots, for various industries.
  • Works with a design team to create design sketches, layouts, and plans.
  • Collaborate with other engineers and team members to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of simulation models.
  • Use computer-assisted design (CAD) software to create preliminary and detailed drawings of the product.
  • Produce specifications for products and choose raw materials and components to be used in production.
  • Build models and prototypes of the product and tests the design.
  • Study the test data and make comparisons with similar designs.
  • Prepares and helps present designs at various design reviews.
  • Conduct performance testing and analysis of simulation models to identify areas for improvement.
  • Create technical reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to clients and team members.
  • Provides technical support during the manufacturing and production stages.
  • Provide technical support to clients, including troubleshooting issues and answering questions.
  • Support software integration with mechanical systems.
  • Stay up-to-date with new technologies and trends in the simulation industry.
  • Maintains sensitive and confidential information as required by company and government requirements.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
