About The Position

Responsible in the Field for Project specific Mechanical Engineering and Design functions. Responsibilities Position Highlights Must have bachelor’s in mechanical engineering or related engineering field Will work on planning, design, procurement, construction and quality of installation of mechanical systems and equipment. Prefer Power Plant Design and/or Heavy Industrial Design experience Position Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for completing project specific objectives on time, under direction of Sr. Mechanical Design Engineer; Receives instructions on specific assignment objectives, complex features, and possible solutions. Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, or computer-generated reports. Assist mechanical designers and drafters in developing the structural design of equipment and piping systems using computer-assisted design (CAD) and 3D design software Research, design, evaluate, and oversee the installation of equipment, systems, and processes to meet requirements applying knowledge of engineering principles. Conduct research that tests or analyzes the feasibility, design, operation, or performance of equipment, components, or systems. Develop and test models of alternate designs and processing methods to assess feasibility, operating condition effects, possible new applications and necessity of modification. Specify system components or direct modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications. Independently evaluates, selects, and applies standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria using judgment in making minor adaptations and modifications. Present technical information to peers or other personnel for review, to implement operating procedures, and resolve system malfunctions. Provide specific to discipline technical expertise to the degree of preparing and providing training for other personnel; both within the company and for the customer. Function as a liason between the Design Engineering team and the Construction team to solve problems.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering field
Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology

FE and PE or willingness to obtain both

Responsibilities
