Requirements

  • Requires a high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A two-year degree or equivalent is preferred.
  • Requires at least 5 years related experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills.
  • Expert knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.

Responsibilities

  • Under limited supervision, assist mechanical engineers in the planning and testing of mechanical components, equipment, and machinery.
  • Tests complete prototype units and subassemblies under operational conditions.
  • Devise, fabricate, and assemble new or modified mechanical components or assemblies.
  • Record test procedures and results using numerical and graphical data.
  • Help prepare proposals, cost estimates and work load.
  • Assist in establishing completion dates.

Benefits

  • Compensation: This is a salaried non-exempt role and emloyees in this role are eligible for overtime. The starting salary range for this role and market is between $59,000 - $70,000 annually. Factors that may affect starting salary include geography/market and the skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for the BroadBase Incentive (BBI) program with a target payout of 2%.
  • Location and Schedule: This position is located in Marshalltown, Iowa and will be in the office Monday through Friday.
