Chemours is seeking a Mechanical Engineer Co-op to join our Manufacturing Technology team! This position will report directly to the technology department's co-op coordinator. As a Mechanical Engineer Co-op, you will work closely with the Manufacturing Technology team gaining valuable experience through hands-on projects in a chemical plant. You will have exposure to real-time engineering work alongside other engineers to apply what you've learned in the classroom. Effective engineering co-ops will have the ability to communicate with impact, have strong self-awareness, and will be naturally inquisitive. Location: Corpus Christi, TX Hours: Regular full-time schedule of 40 hours per week Preferred First Term: Spring 2026 Candidates must be able to commit to at least a total of six (6) months as a co-op.

Requirements

  • Enrollment at an accredited college or university as a sophomore or above at time of assignment
  • Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar fields
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point

  • Participation in relevant activities, organizations, and projects beyond the classroom
  • 3.2 GPA or above
  • Is enthusiastic about working in a chemical plant environment

Responsibilities

  • Analyzing equipment performance and recommending improvement plans
  • Conducting failure analysis investigations
  • Participating in process safety management activities
  • Contributing to team meetings and conference calls
