About The Position

We are hiring a mid- to senior-tier Mechanical Engineer with proven Project Management experience to lead mechanical design initiatives in Oakland Park, Florida. This full-time role focuses on delivering high-level MEP mechanical engineering services for residential and commercial real estate developments, including high-rise projects. The position requires a strong background in HVAC system design, multidisciplinary coordination, and managing projects from early concept through construction closeout. Based in Oakland Park, Florida, this opportunity is ideal for an experienced engineer who thrives in both technical design and leadership capacities. You will oversee mechanical system layouts, direct project execution, and serve as a key point of contact for clients and consultants throughout each project lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related discipline.
  • 5–10+ years of progressive experience in MEP mechanical design within established engineering firms.
  • Demonstrated experience managing residential and commercial real estate projects, including high-rise developments.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Florida (required).
  • Strong expertise in HVAC system design, mechanical load calculations, and building systems integration.
  • Advanced proficiency in REVIT and CAD platforms.
  • Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple concurrent projects in Oakland Park.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and client-facing presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines and maintain project accountability.

Responsibilities

  • Lead mechanical HVAC and MEP system design for residential, mixed-use, commercial, and high-rise developments in Oakland Park.
  • Oversee full project lifecycle management, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and resource coordination.
  • Develop and review detailed mechanical drawings, load calculations, equipment sizing, and technical documentation.
  • Utilize REVIT and CAD software to produce and supervise high-quality design models and construction documents.
  • Coordinate closely with electrical engineers, architects, structural teams, and outside consultants to maintain integrated design solutions.
  • Ensure all mechanical designs comply with Florida building codes and applicable engineering standards.
  • Provide construction-phase support including RFI responses, shop drawing and submittal review, and on-site coordination when necessary.
  • Maintain quality control procedures and ensure technical accuracy across all engineering deliverables.
  • Lead client meetings, present engineering solutions, and provide technical guidance throughout project execution.
