About The Position

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Mechanical Engineering Intern to join our team for the summer. This internship is an excellent opportunity for a 2nd or 3rd year college student pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering. The intern will gain valuable hands-on experience in the field and contribute to ongoing projects by verifying and updating mechanical piping diagrams. The intent of the internship is to have the candidate hands-on experience while providing key drawing deliverables of our mechanical piping systems. This is an excellent opportunity for a 2nd or 3rd year mechanical engineering student to gain knowledge of large industrial mechanical systems while being mentored from experienced professionals.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in mechanical engineering or a related field (2nd or 3rd year students preferred).
• Proficient in AutoCAD software is a must.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.

Responsibilities

• Assist in field verification of mechanical piping diagrams to ensure accuracy and compliance with specifications.
• Work on updating and maintaining master drawings based on field findings and project requirements.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and project teams to gather data and feedback for improvements.
• Assist in the documentation of field reports and maintain accurate records of revisions and updates.
• Utilize AutoCAD software to create and modify drawings as needed.
