This position will be part of the GLOBAL OPERATIONS--The global operations team's vision is to be the global technology leader in TE's core manufacturing processes by driving Continuous Improvement and Innovation. Your role as an Intern in the Global Operations Business Unit, will help us make the connections that move the world forward by: Support the Manufacturing Engineering team in improving manufacturing processes using structured problem-solving skills. Support Operations in resolving production issues and implementing permanent solutions. Be in a dynamic role where you will improve yields, assist with quality controls, and improve process capability.

Requirements

  • Have earned a high school diploma or GED
  • Are currently enrolled in, or pursuing, a BA/BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical & Computer Engineering from an accredited college or university-or have equivalent work experience (gap year students may also be considered).
  • Are authorized to work in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferably have prior internship experience or have completed a major project

Responsibilities

  • Design and coordinate standard engineering tests and experiments.
  • Design, procure, and fabricate tooling and fixtures.
  • Assist in planning, organization, and conducting all aspects of technical studies.
  • Provide engineering support for other departments as needed.
  • Works on special administrative projects as directed and prioritized by manager such as data entry, data analysis, filing, organizing, and maintaining files.
  • Prepare and complete a presentation to the department and for personal portfolio at the end of the internship showing project status and achievements.
