About The Position
The Mechanical Engineering Intern will support the engineering team in the mechanical design and analysis of OPT products and systems.
Requirements
- Junior or Senior status in a 4-year university pursuing an Engineering degree.
- Must be able to work both independently and in a team setting.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with SolidWorks (or similar CAD design software).
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with ANSYS (or similar FE analysis software) a plus.
Responsibilities
- To assist in the Mechanical design and analysis of OPT’s products
- Prepare and document design specifications, data collection and analysis.
- Carry out theoretical mechanical/structural analyses.
- Prepare technical reports to document the methodology and results of work performed.
- Assist with departmental documentation and administrative projects.
- Perform other tasks as required.
