Under the direction of the Manufacturing Technologies Manager, this position will be responsible for assisting in process improvements, equipment design, and project management associated with the various manufacturing processes. Assist in the evaluation of manufacturing processes including product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling and materials and develop and implement improvements. Studying product requirements, inspecting equipment, processes, operations, assembly, testing manufacturing methods utilized. Develop maintenance procedures for repair services by following manufacturer's instructions and established procedures, requesting special service. Prepare product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information to justify machine improvements, process changes and/or capital investments. Create and maintain drawings in bot CAD and Inventor formats. Provide manufacturing engineering information. Comply with all applicable government regulations. Undertake other duties as may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Pursing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Applied Engineering.
  • Candidate needs to be a self-starter and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Strong verbal and technical writing skills with the ability to communicate to broad audiences.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office to include, Outlook, Excel, and Word, Autodesk Inventor or similar 3D modeling software.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong mechanical aptitudes a plus.
  • Knowledge of quality tools and continuous improvements methodologies, a plus. (FMEA, Root Cause, 5S, Six Sigma, and Process Flow Analysis)
