About The Position

The Mechanical Engineering Intern (Entry Level) supports the Engineering Team in daily project activities, documentation, and basic engineering tasks. This entry-level position is designed to provide hands-on experience in mechanical engineering within EPC project execution, with a strong focus on learning, mentorship, and development of foundational technical and professional skills. Prior professional experience is not required. This role is ideal for candidates seeking their first practical experience in mechanical engineering.

Requirements

• High school student or currently enrolled college/university student in Mechanical Engineering
• Basic understanding of mathematics, physics, and engineering principles
• Basic to intermediate level use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Responsibilities

• Support the Engineering Team in preparation, organization, and review of engineering documentation and basic calculations
• Prepare document and drawing submittal cover sheets for engineering deliverables
• Assist in preparation of material purchasing specifications and material compliance lists
• Develop and maintain Master Bill of Materials (BOM)
• Update and maintain engineering lists, including: Valve List, Instrument List, Piping Line List, Equipment List
• Support engineers in organizing and tracking project documentation
• Assist in preparation of engineering data sheets and technical documentation packages
• Support preparation of Request for Quotation (RFQ) documents
• Perform basic engineering calculations under guidance of a mentor, including: Fluid flow rate and pressure, Pipe fluid velocity
• Assist in checking pipe, valve, and instrument pressure ratings under supervision
• Assist in basic review of drawings and documents for completeness and consistency (training provided)
• Use Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for documentation, tracking, and reporting
• Support Engineering Team during different phases of EPC projects
• Follow established engineering procedures and quality standards
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of assigned tasks under supervision
• Maintain organized records of work performed
