About The Position

The Mechanical Engineering Co-op/Intern - Spring 2026 (Drexel University) position is an exciting opportunity for a Drexel University Student to join PM Group’s quickly growing Philadelphia area team in Conshohocken, PA. Together we are sharing knowledge, learning, growing, and continuing to be an integral part of supporting PM Group’s ongoing expansion in the US. Our office is executing cutting-edge projects for Pharmaceutical, Biologics and Cell & Gene Therapy, manufacturing facilities – from feasibility through to qualification – for both local and international clients. Together with our clients and partners, we will deliver projects that improve the everyday lives of people across the globe. This individual needs to have a basic understanding of the technical aspects of Mechanical Engineering design with a desire to learn the nuances of the design build industry. The ability to successfully handle multiple real-time complex project and operational tasks as well as maintain a strong work ethic as a collaborative colleague are necessary for this role. The Mechanical Engineering Co-op will be mentored by the senior level team members and will assist with the development of design documents such as air flow diagrams, utility flow diagrams P&IDs, and calculations. Expect project work to include all levels of design: feasibility studies, conceptual & schematic design, construction documentation, and construction administration. Project sizes will vary and will consist primarily of life science industry projects doing both existing building improvements and new construction. Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Active student at Drexel University
  • Interest in the Life Sciences / pharmaceutical industry
  • Familiar/exposure to engineering software (AutoCAD, Revit, HAP, etc.)
  • Computer literate with good experience working with MS Word and Excel

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with generation of calculations and design layouts
  • Assisting with development of various packages
  • Interfacing with vendors and other disciplines ensuring the highest level of service is provided
  • Interacting and communicating with project team members and other internal/external parties to ensure co-ordination of activities
  • Liaise with senior colleagues and mentors as appropriate
  • Demonstrate an understanding of scope of work assigned
  • Use initiative in problem solving and make decisions under the direction of others
  • Demonstrate knowledge of PM Group and/or industry standard methodologies and tools
  • Carry out site visits/site surveys under the supervision of a Senior Engineer
  • Special projects as required
