The Mechanical Engineering Co-op position is a two semester co-op for the Summer and Fall sessions of 2026. No relocation assistance will be offered, local candidates only. What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is c urrently enrolled working toward Bachelor of Science, Mechanical Engineering degree with a minimum four semesters schooling with two semesters in the engineering program with previous 3-D CAD experience.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled working toward Bachelor of Science, Mechanical Engineering degree with a minimum four semesters schooling with two semesters in the engineering program.
  • Previous 3-D CAD experience.
  • Able to read, write, and follow verbal instructions in Standard English.
  • Must regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds, using proper lifting techniques or other available resources such as lifting or moving equipment or help from another employee.
  • Must be able to sit, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, bend and stoop in a normal office environment.
  • Ability to routinely travel throughout multi-floor office and shop area, walking, climbing stairs, utilizing elevator.
  • Normal vision and manual dexterity.
  • Must respond to changing requirements and working conditions.
  • Clean and orderly manufacturing environment and/or normal office conditions, changing deadlines and project requirements, strict time constraints.

Responsibilities

  • Generate component and assembly drawings utilizing Autodesk and Autodesk Inventor design software.
  • Create and maintain automated product configuration tools using programming technology contained within Autodesk Inventor software.
  • Generate and process controlled document changes.
  • Help research and process purchasing part/material deviations.
  • Generate and maintain bills of material within ERP/MRP system.
  • Development of documented procedures to support manufacturing processes.
  • Cost reduction process improvements.
  • Hands-on work in the manufacturing area.
  • Interact and communicate with all levels of employees within the Company, as well as suppliers, customers and peers effectively.
  • Comply with policies, procedures, standards and rules of the Company.
  • Maintain quality assurance policy consistent with ISO standards.
  • Maintain work area in a clean, orderly and safe manner.
  • Punctual, regular and consistent attendance.
  • Perform all other job-related duties as assigned.
