About The Position

Mechanical Engineering Co-Op - Spring 2026 Here at Entegris, we use advanced science to enable technologies that transform the world, and we are seeking employees who have the drive to continue the mission. THE ROLE Our site in San Luis Obispo, CA is seeking a/an Mechanical Engineering Co-Op to join our team for the Spring 2026 season. This assignment is intended to be 6 months in duration. In this role, you will support the design, development, and testing of advanced gas purification systems. Working closely with senior engineers, you will contribute to the creation of mechanical components and assemblies, assist in CAD modeling, perform basic fluid and thermal analyses, and help prepare documentation for prototypes and production.

Requirements

Familiarity with CAD tools (e.g. SolidWorks)
Basic understanding of fluid mechanics and materials science
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program for Mechanical Engineering
Junior level status or higher (Graduation date 2026/2027)
Must be a currently enrolled student
Available to work 40 hours a week, M-F (8a-5p) beginning in January through June.
Must be familiar with the universities requirements to participate in a co-op program

Responsibilities

Solid modeling and drafting using SolidWorks
BOM creation and engineering documentation using SAP
Document design changes, test results, and engineering reports
Contribute new and innovative solutions
Build a peer network
