Montgomery College is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to serve as a subject matter expert for electrical design across 3 multi-building campuses. Under the supervision of the College Architect, this role is responsible for designing and supervising the in-house and contracted construction of heating, cooling, ventilating, and plumbing of building systems across the College. The Mechanical Engineer applies technical engineering principles and concepts to a wide range of mechanical systems that serve students, faculty, and the broader community every day. This position is ideal for a licensed professional who can work independently, guide projects from design through construction completion, and confidently sign and seal building plans. The typical work schedule for this position is Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. This is a grade 33, non-bargaining, exempt position located at Central Services in Rockville.
