About The Position

The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for the engineering duties required to maintain, grow, and improve a portfolio of lighting products and services. The position is expected to provide customer support by interfacing as needed with various departments including manufacturing, product management, quality, suppliers, and other engineering departments. You must reside within the Greenville, SC area to be considered for this role.

Requirements

  • 4-year degree in Engineering and 0-2 years of related experience is preferred.
  • Excellent communications skills: interpersonal, listening, oral, and written.
  • 2D and 3D Computer Aided Drafting experience is needed.

Nice To Haves

  • SAP ERP system experience is highly desirable.
  • Manufacturing knowledge, particularly in sheet-steel fabrication and assembly, is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Execute cross-functional projects such as generational updates, product modifications, or complex custom designs to meet cost-out or customer specification requirements.
  • Review and revise drawings, 3D models, or other technical documentation as needed to support updates to the product portfolio or plan requests.
