About The Position

Join Us as a Mechanical Engineer – Shape the Future of Plastic Product Innovation! Are you a hands-on problem-solver who loves transforming ideas into manufacturable, high-quality products? At Phase Technologies , we’re seeking a Mechanical Engineer with plastic molding experience to help design, develop, and launch robust mechanical components and assemblies that perform in demanding real-world environments. From early concepts through tooling, validation, and production, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring our products are engineered for performance, manufacturability, and long-term reliability. Requirements

  • Proven experience in mechanical design for plastic injection molded parts and assemblies.
  • Strong understanding of plastic materials , molding processes, tolerancing, and mold design considerations.
  • Hands-on experience with CAD and analysis tools such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, ProE/Creo.
  • Solid foundation in mechanical engineering principles, including mechanics, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supplier teams.
  • Strong communication and technical documentation skills.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field) and a passion for practical, manufacturable design.

Responsibilities

  • Lead full-cycle mechanical product development—from concept and CAD design through tooling, validation, and production release.
  • Design plastic parts and assemblies with a strong focus on injection molding , DFM/DFA, and cost-effective manufacturing.
  • Collaborate with suppliers, molders, and internal teams on part design, mold design reviews, and production readiness.
  • Develop and review engineering drawings, specifications, and tolerances to ensure consistent, high-quality manufacturing outcomes.
  • Perform engineering analyses, testing, and design verification to validate performance, durability, and compliance.
  • Troubleshoot molding and assembly issues, driving root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Balance performance, cost, quality, and schedule when making design decisions.
  • Document designs, changes, and test results to support long-term product lifecycle management.
  • Stay current on materials, molding processes, and best practices—and apply them to continuously improve our products.
