About The Position

The Operations Engineer role at AAR seeks to liaise between the aircraft manufacturer and our technicians to solve technical issues. Requirements

• Able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing in standard English.
• Able to interface in a professional and pleasant manner with other AAR employees at all levels and with customers as required.
• Computer literacy, particularly in those software programs which are relevant to industrial engineering.
• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering required (or other related Engineering degree)
• Minimum of two years experience as an engineer.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently coordinates activities to evaluate and resolve engineering-related production problems encountered in assigned areas of aircraft.
• Reviews production schedules, engineering specifications, orders and related information to maintain current knowledge of repair methods, procedures and activities in assigned area.
• Effectively confers with quality control and other department personnel to provide technical support.
• Effectively interprets engineering drawings and facilitates correction of errors on drawings and documents identified during manufacturing operations.
• Effectively investigates reports of defective, damaged parts, assemblies, equipment or systems to determine nature and scope of problem.
• Effectively examines, measures, inspects or tests defective parts for conformance to engineering design drawings or blueprint specifications, using precision measuring and testing instruments, devices and equipment.
• Efficiently evaluates findings to formulate correction action plan and coordinates implementation of plan.
• Efficiently maintains records or oversees recording of information by others to ensure engineering drawings and documents are current and that engineering-related production problems and resolutions are documented.
• All other duties as assigned.
