What does this role look like? As an Engineer on our team, you’ll collaborate with a diverse workforce to develop, design, fabricate, test, and deliver FRUs that meet the highest aerospace standards. Your primary focus will be on creating design solutions that support the organization’s mission.

Requirements

  • Bachelors or higher degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
  • Experience working in collaborative and deadline driven environments.
  • Working knowledge of Geometric, Dimensioning, and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Experience in mechanical or structural design within space, aerospae, or related industries.
  • Experience in CREO or related CAD technologies.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance, thus US Citizenship is required.
  • Successful candidate would have 3+ years of mechanical engineering experience supporting mechanical or structural design.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Knowledge of industry standards such as ASME.
  • Experience designing components for missiles, aerospace systems, or other complex defense hardware.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and produce detailed engineering drawings (DSR6) and GD&T.
  • Experience supporting Assembly and Integration of missiles, aerospace systems, or other complex defense hardware.
  • Familiar with EPDM/Windchill.
  • Understanding of design for manufacturing (DFM) principles.

Responsibilities

  • Transition First Stage Rocket Motor (FRSM) and Second Stage Rocket Motor (SSRM) Interface Control Models (ICMs) from individual parts to fully integrated assemblies.
  • Generate and submit detailed Inspection Reports for each motor level ICM.
  • Complete Mechanical Compatibility Checklists to confirm fit, form, and function across all interfaces.
  • Perform additional Level of Effort (LOE) tasks as needed to facilitate the transition process.
