Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; advanced degrees preferred
  • Proficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD), FEA software, and thermal/mechanical analysis
  • Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes and cleanroom requirements
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Nice To Haves

  • Experience designing components for vacuum systems, gas delivery systems and thermal management
  • Hands-on experience with semiconductor fabrication equipment and cleanroom protocols
  • Familiarity with material selection for high-purity and high-temperature environments

Responsibilities

  • Design mechanical components for semiconductor tools, including chambers, fixtures and thermal systems
  • Develop and validate mechanical assemblies ensuring compliance with cleanroom and contamination control standards
  • Perform stress analysis, thermal analysis and vibration studies to ensure reliability and durability
  • Collaborate with electrical and process engineers to integrate mechanical systems with overall tool design
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues in production equipment to minimize downtime
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and industry standards in all mechanical designs
