This role is responsible for taking projects from concept through final design and implementation, including customer collaboration, prototype development, testing, and final build execution. The ideal candidate is a practical problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced R&D environment, enjoys hands-on prototype work, and can translate customer needs into engineered solutions involving repetitive motion systems, mechanical assemblies, and fluid handling equipment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 3+ years of mechanical design experience (R&D or custom equipment environment preferred).
  • Strong experience designing mechanical systems involving repetitive motion mechanisms.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks
  • Experience with prototype development and hands-on mechanical assembly.
  • Understanding of fluid systems, pumps, valves, and beverage process equipment preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to move projects from concept through final validated design.
  • Strong communication skills for customer interaction and internal collaboration.

Nice To Haves

  • Understanding of fluid systems, pumps, valves, and beverage process equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead mechanical design efforts for custom beverage processing and handling equipment utilizing CFV value technology.
  • Collaborate with customers and internal cross-functional teams (Engineering, Production, R&D, Sales) to define project requirements and technical specifications.
  • Design mechanical systems involving repetitive motion, automation interfaces, and fluid process components.
  • Develop 3D models, detailed drawings, and bills of materials using CAD software.
  • Conceptualize, design, and build working prototypes.
  • Perform hands-on fabrication, assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and refinement of prototype systems.
  • Analyze mechanical performance, durability, and reliability; recommend improvements as needed.
  • Support transition from prototype to final production-ready design.
  • Conduct design reviews and ensure compliance with applicable industry standards and safety requirements.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues in R&D builds and provide technical support during equipment commissioning.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of engineering changes, test results, and design iterations.
